Brief info

Dr. Niki Mourouti graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of Harokopio University of Athens in 2010. She completed her Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Nutrition in 2012 and her PhD thesis in Epidemiology of Nutrition from the same Department of Harokopio University of Athens in 2015. She is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
She worked as a research fellow in a 22-month research programme entitled “Environment, Lifestyle and Cancer in women” and in a 5-months research program entitled “Education and training program for teachers, parents and students on nutrition health education” at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of Harokopio University of Athens. Moreover, she worked as a research fellow in a 29-month research program entitled “Design and pilot application of a health literacy and nutrition literacy educational intervention program in patients with hypertension: a randomized controlled trial” at the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development of Harokopio University of Athens.
Since October 2014, she works as a Nutritionist-Dietician at the Oncology Unit of the 3rd Department of Internal Medicine and Laboratory, Athens Medical School, “Sotiria” General Hospital with clinical, research and educational duties.
She has published educational material, 13 papers in peer-reviewed journals with more than 200 citations and more than 25 abstracts in international and Greek conferences.
Being a volunteer, as an idea and attitude of life, is the ultimate act of offering initially to other people and then to our society and the environment in every area of ​​life. As a result, MANA has been the starting point for contacting women with breast cancer or gynecological cancers and to whom she voluntarily provides dietary and counseling support, enhancing this attitude of life while supporting MANA’s outstanding work.
