Beautician
Brief info

My name is Posonidou Despina. I am a licensed beautician. In 1986 I graduated from N. Avgerinopoulou’s School of Aesthetics and Cosmetology with specialization in face – body aesthetics and make – up. Then I worked as a beautician’s assistant in Woman’s Club and as a beautician in Roula Baliou’s beauty centre.

In 1987 I went to New York for further studies. I attended massage and make – up seminars while working as a beautician in a beauty salon and spa centre. In 1988, I became a licensed professional cosmetologist after passing the required exams in the Department of State “Division of Licensing Services”.

When I returned to Greece in 1989, I attended a course in permanent hair removal at Attiko College, completing my studies. In 1990 I opened my own beauty salon which I operated until 2010, when I closed it due to health reasons.

My voluntary work began in 2016, when I became a member of D.E.K.A (Voluntary Social Aesthetics Network) and in 2020 I joined MANA. Unselfish giving to fellowmen has always been a life goal for me. Diligently and gladly I have offered beauty services to groups of people who are truly in need thereof. I feel deeply honoured to be able to contribute to the great work of MANA.
